On 21 January 2020 a Launching Conference was organized in the Italian Confederation of Workers’ Trade Unions (CISL) Headquarters in Rome. CISL is an Associate Partner of the NEW VET project. The aim of the Conference was to present the NEW VET project to a broad audience and to streamline NEW VET’s objectives with the Italian policy and experience on work-based learning in VET (Instruzione e Formazione Professionale – IeFP). Conference speakers were industry policy experts and trade unions, employers and training bodies representatives, addressing the need to provide young people with high quality training that facilitates the matching between the skills possessed and those required by the labour market. The session was closed by the Confederal Secretary of the CISL Angelo Colombini.
